Professional Development

Under Professional Development, we provide (School/Career and counselling to GBS student) as well as Volunteering opportunity to teach in GBS and other parts of Nepal

Teaching in GBS/GCES:

EGBOSA (Ex-Gandaki Boarding Students’ Association) is an alumni association of Gandaki Higher Secondary Boarding School (GHSC) and Gandaki College of Engineering and Sciences (GCES), Pokhara, Nepal.

EGBOSA has chapters in different parts of Nepal and around the world. EGBOSA North America (EGBOSA USA INC) is one of them. EGBOSA USA INC. is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered  in the State of New York on January 3, 2019 according to the bylaws of United States of America with mission to keep alumni connected to one another and the alma mater. The alumni consist of members from wide array of professional fields not only limited to doctors, engineers, pharmacists, IT professionals, social activists, lawyers, business entrepreneurs, and government officers. Additionally, our liaisons conduct semi-annual chapter meetings in over 10 locations across the United States. These chapter meetings bring the GBS community together.

The foundation always welcomes compassionate and enthusiastic volunteers to tutor children aged 10-15 in reading, writing, or speaking English. GBS students come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds and different part of the country. GBS believes in the holistic development of a child; students here are nurtured by providing a homely and caring environment for their mental, physical, and social development. The school provides an all-round education that challenges the students’ minds, bodies, and spirits. It associates freedom with responsibility and reason with emotion. As it is a non-profit institution, the objective of the school is to provide quality education at an affordable cost. The school has been providing scholarship to underprivileged, marginalized yet brilliant students who often hail from remote areas of the country and belong to so-called low-castes. The school inculcates the motto of Knowledge, Character, and Service to its students. Impartation of an all-round education enables its students to pursue their life goals, support their families, and contribute to their communities in future.
