Message from the President
Dear GBS Alumni,
I am honored to serve as the president of EGBOSA North America ad hoc committee. EGBOSA North America is dedicated to connecting alumni, channeling their camaraderie to enrich themselves, and advancing GBS’s motto of knowledge, character, and service in the community. We join a team of enthusiastic and capable individuals in the ad hoc executive committee, and we are all eager to enhance the role of EGBOSA in the society.
Since its inception in January, 2019, EGBOSA North America has ramped up the membership drive, launched a webpage and social sites to keep alumni connected to each other and to our beloved GBS. Secondly, it has engaged in various community endeavors. EGBOSA North America can also offer many valuable services to its members. It has a comprehensive alumni database, which can provide you with additional information on alumni and their whereabouts. The alumni will work with you to create a database of classmates that can be accessed by future reunion planning committees.
In order to serve EGBOSA North America better and move it forward, the executive committee is undertaking various events throughout the year. One such event is 4th of July weekend gathering in Queens, NY which will be attended by approximately 100 members. It will truly be a fun-filled event. This event will not only allow us to interact with fellow Gandakians and relish & refresh our past memories, but it will also be instrumental in offering more values to our current members and help in the growth of the organization. We will organize yearly gathering every year in different cities/states. GBS alumni living in Greater Washington Region (Maryland & Northern Virginia) and Texas have shown keen interest in organizing annual gathering for 2020. We plan on using this platform as an opportunity to take a serious stock of where we are at this time, and how we would like to grow as an organization in coming days. For instance, we plan to use social media platforms and our official webpage to reach out to more members effectively.
Of course, we cannot accomplish these in isolation, so we are seeking input and active participation from each of our members in the coming days and months to make our organization better in every aspect possible. Contribution, dedication, and input from each of our members are essential for the sustainable growth and success of this organization. Please be on the lookout for calls for participation, volunteer work to serve in ad-hoc committees, and show your willingness to run for office.
Please contact me or any members of the executive committee with suggestions. I look forward to working with all of you in serving our alumni association.
